Yesterday Scott got a new power washer...and he used it...or it used him! He was soooo dirty...and I think he loved it!

Christmas Time!

I think that maybe the house was a little cold, or the girls were both playing Mary. Well, it's officially Christmas time as the Nativities are out, the tree is trimmed, and the train is running underneath. It is so wonderful! The girls are so excited....(and so am I!)

My sister Missy send me a sweet Fall Care Package....about 10 years ago. I just opened it up this season and put everything together! The wreath and scarecrow are on the previous post. I love these cute little wooden pumpkins. They're perfect companions for my angels.

Sad day for Ally....

Katie wanted to surprise Ally by "charging up" her glow-in-the-dark Care Bear. Katie had watched Scott set the bear up on the lamp at night to "charge it up". Well, Katie didn't really know that she wasn't supposed to put the bear directly on the lightbulb. So....the bear got a little too charred...I mean, charged. Sorry sis!

Katie's Birthday Weekend!

Katie started off with a bang...running a race in the morning and then celebrating her birthday with her best friend at Knowlwoods! They played Air Hockey, Pool, and the racing video game. Then on Monday, the real birthday, she celebrated at school with cupcakes and then we had pizza and chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches with some friends for dinner. It was a great way to turn 9!

Family Pictures!

Today we went to the beach to take pictures for our friends...but we snuck some pictures of our family, too! It was a lovely evening at the beach. Ah...to be in Southern California in October!

Look Mom...I forgot to study!

Yesterday a mother of one of my students said "I'm so sorry that I didn't do his homework last night. I was so busy helping my daughter study for her big test!" I assured her that everything was fine, but inquired as to what "test" she was talking about, as Katie and her daughter are in the same class! I saw Katie's teacher in the hallway that morning and asked about this mysterious test. She said "Yes, it's today. I told the kids to go home and tell their moms and dads to help them study all night!" Hmmmm. Katie didn't mention one thing about the test. I was nervous for Katie, but knew that this is the Year of Responsibility for her. That little stinker came home with a B- ! I can't believe it! Next time we're going to study. :)

Special Occasion...

In Ally's world, everything is an occasion to celebrate. Tonight it just happened to be brushing her teeth. I walked into her room and she had her furry coat and her scarf that Auntie Deb made for her. She finished off the ensemble with some high-heeled shoes, and it was time to brush her teeth! Oh what a sweet life!

Mountain Man!

Today Scott and a friend and a friend of the friend went up to conquer a mountain. I'd tell you more about it, but he's sacked out on the couch right now. Aren't you proud of him?

Momma's Got A New Pair of Shoes!

You'll never guess who's taking a Tap Dance Class. It's Jillsy!
And yes, I showed up to my first class with these cute little tie tap shoes from Payless, where all of the other 3 year olds were getting their shoes! I walked into the studio, and all of the other students had on the "real" tap shoes...with no cute little bows. I felt so silly. But if I'm doing a good job, I'm going to talk Scott into letting me get an even newer pair of shoes for momma! :) Shuffle step, shuffle step, shuffle step!

Sweet News!

My niece Summre and her husband Sam will be adding to their already big family of a very large dog and a very character-filled cat! Summre announced that she is with child! We are so excited! Won't you be excited with us?

First Day of School!

Today was the first day of 3rd grade for Katie and 1st grade for Ally! It's going to be a great year...except the fact that Ally says that she's never going back and she hates school. :) )(She was sore because she got in trouble for talking too much to her friends in class.) She's so much like her mother!

Chip Came Home!

Chip made it through an 11 day fight with Parvo. He is now home, and we're so thankful to have him back! My mom thinks that we should change his name to "Riches" because of the Vet bill that we had to pay. :) But God is good. It's all about the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings. I'll update you!

Orange Street Fair 2007

Today we went to the Orange Street Fair with the Lees. We had ableskivers, pretzels, frozen lemonade, sushi, teriyaki chicken, vegetarian rolls and Dippin'Dots! But the clincher of the day? Jennifer got a way cute funky flower thingie for only a buck! I was just too slow at Uncle Tom's, and Jennifer was there to remind me of it, too! But I did purchase a really cute tray from the Thrift Store. It wasn't a buck, though! Happy Labor Day Weekend.

Sunday Morning Transportation

We have the awesome privilege of living close enough to Church to ride our bikes! It is one of Katie's highlights of the week. And Jill has a very nice helmet hairdo! It's soooooo chic!

Organic Mouse Trap

Sweetie caught her first mouse yesterday. She thought it was great fun! And we were so excited....until the mouse's guts started coming out! Ewwwww!
