Family Pictures!

Today we went to the beach to take pictures for our friends...but we snuck some pictures of our family, too! It was a lovely evening at the beach. Ah...to be in Southern California in October!

Look Mom...I forgot to study!

Yesterday a mother of one of my students said "I'm so sorry that I didn't do his homework last night. I was so busy helping my daughter study for her big test!" I assured her that everything was fine, but inquired as to what "test" she was talking about, as Katie and her daughter are in the same class! I saw Katie's teacher in the hallway that morning and asked about this mysterious test. She said "Yes, it's today. I told the kids to go home and tell their moms and dads to help them study all night!" Hmmmm. Katie didn't mention one thing about the test. I was nervous for Katie, but knew that this is the Year of Responsibility for her. That little stinker came home with a B- ! I can't believe it! Next time we're going to study. :)

Special Occasion...

In Ally's world, everything is an occasion to celebrate. Tonight it just happened to be brushing her teeth. I walked into her room and she had her furry coat and her scarf that Auntie Deb made for her. She finished off the ensemble with some high-heeled shoes, and it was time to brush her teeth! Oh what a sweet life!
