Katie's new do

That is...hairdo! She has been given a heart of compassion, and it goes all the way to her head. This was Katie's third time to donate her hair to Locks of Love. She just barely had the 10 inch minimum requirement...so her hair was a bit shorter than we anticipated. But is it ever cute! It fits her so well.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

I don't know where the seeds came from...well, I suspect the chickens had something to do with it...but we have tomatoes growing where they were not intended. I actually had visions of a sweet, victorian-themed-sitting-garden area. But the chickens did not ask. But who am I to complain? Katie and I harvested, and then made the yummiest fresh pasta sauce this side of the county line. (Okay, I don't even know where the county line is, but it was pretty good.)

Here's to hoping that you find some sweet surprises today, too. (And you don't have to blame the chickens!)

It is finished...

Today I brought home the last load from the classroom...3 years of Kindergarten...and 8 car loads of stuff...and a broken heart, of sorts.

But in the midst of goodbyes, today is the day of facing the newness with awe of what God will do.

In awe...and trembling...and completely humbled.

It is finished...yet it has only begun.
